Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my favorite games on PS4. The world is breathtaking and the combination of old culture and futuristic machines is very unique. The gameplay is very fun as well. It is simply a great game, but not one without flaws. Here are 5 things that I want to see for its upcoming sequel:
1. More Machines
The futuristic creatures or machines are main attraction in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. The original machines are varied and all have impressive designs. The Frozen Wilds DLC took it up a notch and introduced new and deadlier machines. Horizon 2 should introduce new machines, as well as updates to the original machines. The potential is limitless on this one.
2. More Control On Overridden Machines
Aloy gets the ability to override machines. However, the control on the overridden machines is rather limited. I would want to choose whether the overridden machine would engage in battle, be Aloy's ride, or maybe even both. It would be really cool to be in battle while riding a Sawtooth or Stormbird. Make it happen Guerilla Games!

3. Better Platforming Mechanics
The platforming on this game is downright awful. This is the single most frustrating part of the game in my opinion. There are certain parts of the game that I had to look up a guide to get to the next part just because platforming doesn't work as it should. Jumping to platforms, climbing ledges and mountains just doesn't feel right. This is baffling as a lot of games nail this easily (Uncharted series, Zelda BotW). I hope Guerilla Games get this right on the next game.

4. Better Melee Combat
Horizon Zero Dawn nailed the ranged combat with Aloy's signature weapon, the bow. However, the melee combat feels lacking in comparison. A more diverse melee moveset as well as new melee weapons would make the combat of the next game more enjoyable.
5. Better Technical Performance
Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best looking games on PS4 and the sequel should look even better. More than the graphics, I would want to see the sequel on PS5 to improve upon the framerate of the original, which is capped at 30 fps on both PS4 and PS4 Pro. A solid 60 fps would be a great upgrade to the performance and it would make the sequel a lot smoother and better to play.
