1. Better and Bigger Boss Fights
The previous God of War games in the PS2 and PS3 era have some of the most unforgettable boss fights in the history of gaming. While the newest game certainly had multiple thrilling boss fights and one of the best hidden bosses in recent years, the overall scale and variety just cannot match that of the older games. And no, I don't consider Trolls as bosses.

2. More Available Realms
While there is a lack of variety of bosses in Santa Monica's latest game, you cannot deny the great variety of its locations, having access to six of the nine realms of the Norse mythology. However, some of the most famous realms are unreachable. The incoming game would most likely improve upon this and I could hardly wait to explore Asgard. Here's hoping that Santa Monica wouldn't botch this one up.
3. A More Capable Atreus
Many feared that the last game would be an escort simulation of some sort. But Atreus proved them wrong and showed that he can handle himself. While this true, there are still times in which Kratos needed to protect Atreus. The PS5 exclusive should showcase a stronger Atreus who can go toe-to-toe with anyone.
4. A More Cohesive Story
The earlier God of War games wasn't known to have the best stories in gaming. However, the new God of War changed all of that, having a very solid and enjoyable story - albeit with some loose ends. This raises a few questions that should be answered by the next game. This makes it very important for Santa Monica to nail the story of the next God of War, which could make or break the game.

5. Better Technical Performance
The latest God of War game ran at 1080p and 30 fps on base PS4. The PS4 Pro on the other hand have two modes, a high resolution mode which ran at 1800p and 30fps, and a high framerate mode which ran at 1080p and 40 to 50 fps on average. With the incoming game running on PS5, which should have a lot more power than both PS4 and PS4 Pro, Santa Monica should aim to deliver a solid 60 fps with a higher resolution, which would make the experience a lot better for everyone.
And those are the things that I want to see in the upcoming God of War game. I haven't talked about the gameplay because the latest game really nailed it out of the park. Let me know down in the comments if you agree or disagree.
